I began my career with Northwestern Mutual after graduating from West Virginia University in 1977. I was looking for a career where I could help people solve their financial problems. I wanted a career that would be meaningful and allow me the independence to have my own business. I was so impressed with the character and values of Northwestern Mutual that I recruited my brother Pat to join Northwestern Mutual. He is a successful representative in Lancaster, PA. During my time with Northwestern Mutual I have felt it necessary to continue my education and knowledge and in 1988 I was fortunate enough to obtain my Chartered Life Underwriter(CLU) designation from the American College in Bryn Mawr,PA.
